Celebrity MasterChef winner 2010 and actress, Lisa Faulkner joined Belvoir Fruit Farms MD, Pev Manners in the mini version of their hot air balloon for a photograph yesterday at the Chatsworth Country Fair.
Lisa has collaborated with premium adult soft drinks company, Belvoir this year to develop a range of mouth-watering cakes using their all-natural Cordials as a key ingredient. Lisa also ran a highly successful cookery event earlier in the year with a group of key mummy bloggers and their children showing them how to make Hot Air Balloon Madeleines, one of her Belvoir recipes.
Lisa was at the Chatsworth Country Fair to demonstrate recipes from her new recipe book, From Mother to Mother, and included Belvoir’s Lime & Lemongrass Cordial in one. Belvoir not only had a stand at the show where visitors were able to sample their range of delicious Pressés and Cordials but their full-size droplet shaped hot air balloon was also present to fly competition winners over the Derbyshire countryside.
The ‘Little Drop of Lovely’ hot air balloon was launched for the first time earlier in summer and has been a familiar sight on the Festival circuit this year, wherever Belvoir has taken its stand. The unique droplet shaped balloon was specially made for Belvoir who invested a five-figure sum into its creation. The balloon stands at 31m high, is 18m in diameter, 2690m3 in volume and can carry a pilot and two passengers. As well as the company name and slogan ‘a little drop of lovely’, the balloon is covered in the iconic elderflower associated with Belvoir’s core product, Elderflower Cordial.
Pev Manners, MD of Belvoir Fruit Farms says: “We wanted to do something that created a stir and made the Belvoir brand stand out from the crowd at the various shows and festivals we attend every summer. The Little Drop of Lovely Balloon has proved to be an eye-catching and quirky way to communicate with our consumers and the droplet shape has been a real talking point. It has encouraged a greater footfall to our stand as people come to take a look and many taking selfies in the mini-balloon photo booth. It was great to welcome Lisa to join in the fun.”
There is one more opportunity to see the Belvoir Little Drop of Lovely balloon before the end of the season at Thame Food Festival from 29 September – 1 October 2017.
